South Africa vs Australia on September 12

South Africa will be up against Australia in the 3rd ODI match of the Australia Tour of South Africa at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on September 12. Both these teams have already played two matches in the series which is being led by Australia two to nil. South Africa would be eyeing a comeback and winning the next game. The last match between the two teams, which was the second ODI of the series, was played at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein South Africa had won the toss and elected to bowl. Australia were off to a monstrous start as Warner and Head, both looked in superb touch. Shamsi got rid of Head and Marsh on successive deliveries, trying to make a comeback for his team but another brilliant partnership for the fourth wicket between Warner and Labuschagne put them miles behind in the game. Towards the end, Australia lost too many wickets but was able to put up a mammoth total of 392 runs on the board. South Africa needed something extraordinary and magical to chase down such a huge total. They started really well too and had an opening stand of 81 runs in just nine overs but the next 40 runs came at the cost of four wickets which pushed them back in the game. Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller played quick-fire fantastic innings but could not stay for long on the crease. The African team could not bat for the entire innings and were bowled out for 269 runs, hence losing the match by a big margin of 123 runs.

Best economical pick – Marco Jansen is a brilliant young all-rounder for the African team. He has scored 55 runs and has scalped two wickets in the last two matches.

Top captains & vice captains – Marnus Labuschagne has been sensational in this series so far where he has smashed 204 runs with an average of 204 in two matches. He is the best option to lead your fantasy team. South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma hit a sensational century in the first ODI match and looked good in the second ODI match as well. He will aim to continue his sublime form as many other batters are yet to find their mojo. He has represented the national team in 28 ODIs and has amassed an impressive 1304 runs in the process.

Smart pick – Adam Zampa has been bowling with precision and has taken away five wickets with an economy of 4.74 in two matches. He can be a good choice for smart picks.

Cautious Pick – Alex Carey has not been in good form in the recent matches. He has scored just nine runs and should be dropped from your team.

My XI – Marnus Labuschagne (Captain), Temba Bavuma (Vice-Captain), Marco Jansen, Adam Zampa, Quinton de Kock, Jos Inglis, Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Travis Head, David Warner, Rassie van der Dussen
