The third match of the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2023 will feature a clash between Pakistan and India at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, September 10. Both India and Pakistan will be coming into the game on the back of brilliant wins, and they will be keen on putting in similar performances in the forthcoming game as well. India had squared off against Nepal in their last match, where India won the toss and elected to bowl. Against the Indian bowling line-up, Nepal had a fantastic start as they amassed 65 runs for the opening stand. Pakistan had played against Bangladesh in their last match, where Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat. Bangladesh could not make the most of the batting track they had on offer, as they lost the top order cheaply. It wasn't until the fifth wicket that they had a decent partnership. A couple of good knocks from Shakib and Rahim helped them post a total of 193 runs on the board. Pakistan did not face too much of a challenge in chasing such a total down. They won the match comfortably by seven wickets with more than ten overs to spare.

Best economical pick – Haris Rauf has been the most successful bowler of the tournament, with nine scalps under his belt in three matches. You cannot form your team without him being present in it.

Top captains & vice captains – Babar Azam played a wonderful knock in the tournament and has amassed 168 runs to his name. His consistency makes him a good contender to lead your team. Ace Indian batter Virat Kohli could be the best batter for his side in the upcoming game against Pakistan. Kohli failed to make an impact against Pakistan in match 3 of the group stage and did not get a chance to feature with the bat against Nepal. Hence, if gets to bat against the arch-rivals, Kohli could be a driving factor for India. 

Smart pick – Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi could be the best bowler for his side in the upcoming game against India. With seven wickets in three matches in the Asia Cup 2023 so far, Afridi is one of the highest wicket-takers, and he will look to replicate his form against India as well.

Cautious Pick – Agha Salman has been able to score just 17 runs so far playing all three matches. He can be left out of your fantasy team.
